LyricFind, the world’s leader in lyric licensing, and Anghami, the leading music streaming service in the Middle East and North Africa have concluded a lyrics integration deal. LyricFind’s world-leading lyrics will now be natively integrated into Anghami’s market-leading platform in display and synchronized modes.

As a result of the deal, LyricFind’s extensive catalog of lyrics, which include lyrics in over a dozen languages, will appear on millions of screens and devices across GCC, Levant and North Africa. This is the latest step in LyricFind’s global expansion into the dynamic music markets of Asia and MENA. It’s a sign that, from China to Morocco, music is coming out of the shadows, into legally licensed, income-generating space. LyricFind has worked to make lyrics a part of this worldwide shift, closing more deals with publishers and service providers internationally than anyone else in the business.

“The MENA region is one of the emerging markets that will help drive more growth in the international digital music business. For multilingual markets like the MENA, lyrics are an important tool for fans to deepen their understanding and enjoyment of the music they love,” explains Will Mills, Chief Revenue Officer of LyricFind.

“Providing lyrics in partnership with LyricFind will boost engagement on Anghami because some of the joys of music are to sing along to feel more connected to the artist. It is part of our mission to provide this added value to music fans in the MENA region” adds Eddy Maroun, CEO and Co-Founder of Anghami.

Anghami has established itself as an increasingly popular way to listen to music and a bulwark of legal music streams in a region long dominated by piracy. Anghami features licensed content from leading Arabic labels such as Rotana, Platinum Records, and Mazzika, building the largest Arabic catalog ever. Anghami also features music from the major international labels such as Universal, Sony, Warner and is continuously licensing new content from major global aggregators.
